Thaire Bryant has been President and
CEO of Hallsmith SYSCO since January 2003. A proven administrator,
Mr. Bryant joined Hallsmith SYSCO in 1984 as a seafood marketing
specialist and advanced to manager of the Seafood Department
in 1986.
The following year he was named director of marketing, progressed
to vice president of marketing in 1990, and in 1996 was promoted
to senior vice president of marketing.
He was named executive vice president in 1997.
Mr. Bryant has also served as chairman of the New England Wholesale
Food Distributors Association from June 1993 to June 1995 and
prior to joining SYSCO he held various sales positions within
the food industry for 11 years.
Mr. Bryant earned a bachelor of arts degree in 1970 from State
University College of Education in New Paltz, N.Y.
